A fresh perspective on planning.
Established experience. Independent thinking. Straightforward advice.
A master-planner at work.
Established in 2015, Pink Planning is an independent consultancy led by Sarah Ratcliffe MRTPI, a Chartered Town Planner with 20 years’ experience across the public and private sectors.
Sarah’s career has taken her from a major international property consultancy to two local planning authorities, before establishing Pink Planning.
With nine years of local authority experience spanning Development Management, planning policy and strategic projects, she understands the planning system from both sides of the desk.
Her experience includes drafting Local Plan policies, contributing to the masterplanning of a major urban extension, presenting evidence at a Local Plan Examination and planning appeal hearings, securing successful appeal outcomes and working with Parish Councils.
From strategic development proposals to individual applications, that breadth of experience helps clients see the bigger picture, navigate planning challenges and make stronger cases for development.

No rose-tinted spectacles.
Good planning advice isn’t about telling clients what they want to hear. It’s about identifying opportunities, understanding constraints and giving an informed, realistic assessment of the way forward.
Sometimes that means finding a creative route through a difficult planning issue. Sometimes it means advising against a proposal before unnecessary money is spent.
Either way, you can expect straightforward advice, clear explanations and an honest assessment of your project’s prospects.
Meet Sarah.
Behind Pink Planning is Sarah Ratcliffe, a Chartered Town Planner who believes good planning advice should be clear, practical and refreshingly straightforward.
Pink Planning is deliberately small and personal. You’ll deal directly with Sarah, rather than being passed between departments or lost in a sea of corporate jargon.
Whether you’re an architect needing specialist support, a homeowner exploring an idea or a developer facing a planning challenge, you’ll receive honest advice, sound judgement and professional attention to your project.
Because planning is complicated enough without your planning consultant making it harder.

Good things come to those who plan.
