Good questions. Straight answers.
Here’s what you need to know about making a stronger planning case — and how Pink Planning can help.
Do I really need a Planning Statement?
Not every application requires one, but a well-prepared Planning Statement can strengthen your case, particularly where a proposal raises policy or other planning issues.
Your drawings show what you want to do. A Planning Statement explains why it should be supported. And a compelling planning argument can make all the difference.
My architect is handling my application. Why would I need a planning consultant?
Architects and planning consultants bring different skills and expertise to a project. Your architect develops the design; a planning consultant focuses on planning policy, relevant considerations and making the case for approval.
We understand how planning officers assess proposals, what matters in the decision-making process and how to present the strongest possible planning argument.
I’ve already written a Planning Statement. Can you check it?
Absolutely. Our Planning Application Health Check, from £95, provides an independent review of your planning case, identifying potential weaknesses, missing information and opportunities for improvement.
A second opinion. Before the first decision.
Can you help with difficult or unusual proposals?
Yes. Challenging sites, sensitive locations, policy conflicts and unusual development proposals are all familiar territory. We’ll assess the relevant issues, identify potential opportunities and help develop an appropriate planning strategy.
What if my proposal is unlikely to get planning permission?
We’ll tell you. Our advice is based on an honest assessment of the planning circumstances, not simply what you might want to hear. Where appropriate, we’ll explore whether changes to the proposal or a different approach could improve its prospects.
Do I have to commission the whole planning application service?
Not at all. You can instruct Pink Planning for a specific piece of work, such as a Planning Statement, initial appraisal or specialist advice. Equally, if you’d prefer more comprehensive support, we can manage the application process on your behalf.
Can you take care of everything?
We can coordinate the planning application process, from preparation and submission through validation and liaison with the local planning authority. Planning drawings, surveys and specialist reports are prepared by other professionals where required, and their fees are separate.
How much does planning advice cost?
Our fees depend on the nature and complexity of your project. We publish starting prices for our main services on the Services & Fees page, and we’ll agree the scope and consultancy fee before work begins.
Do you work outside Stamford and Rutland?
Yes. Although based near Stamford, Pink Planning works with clients across England.
How do I get started?
Simply email hello@pinkplanning.co.uk with the site location, a brief description of your proposal and the support you’re looking for. We’ll review your enquiry and provide a no-obligation quotation for the appropriate service. Any project-specific assessment or advice will be undertaken once the scope and fee have been agreed.
Good things come to those who plan.
